Sometimes you notice a number that you do not recognize on your caller ID. You might decide to Google the number in order to try to determine who it was that called you. Sometimes you learn that the number that called you was actually someone calling from a cell phone. It is not always as easy to trace a cell phone number as a landline.

You can use a cell phone reverse search to find information about the phone number. An initial search in a cell phone reverse search directory, will provide you with some basic information about the phone number. It will show you the general area of service for the phone number. This will give you a general idea of the town or region from where the call is coming.

An initial search for free will not be able to show you the name of the person owning that cell phone number. In order to find out who it is specifically that is calling you, you will need to pay for a full cell phone reverse search.

Please remember that anytime you perform a full cell phone reverse search, there is still the possibility that you will not be able to access the exact information about the person owning the number. That happens whether you buy new or used cell phones for sale. You might not be able to pull up the name of the person with that number. Even if you do pull up the name associated with the cell phone number, it might not be the name of the person calling. Sometimes an individual has a cell phone service in their name but allows someone else to use the service. Are the Smart Phones for Sale Getting Better?

That seems like a silly question when you read the title. But you have to ask yourself, that when you go find cell phones for sale, you got to wonder if that is the kind of thing a mad man would ask.

But the reason I asked that question was because of an email I got in my inbox that caught my eye. It was cell phone related of course, and though it has nothing to do with the pocket pc, well it did indirectly, but it was basically speculating if smartphones were dead.

I haven't finished the article yet, so I will refrain from reporting on that for now. But in the mean time, has I look at my HTC Mogul smart phone, I know that I made it a priority to add a post today. So anyway, stay tuned. Have fun, and take care of those mobile phones, or as we say in the U.S. cell phones. And before I go, lol, have anyone seen the used cricket phones they have for sale.

A Funny Cell Phone Story

I know I haven't written in awhile, as I have been working on other projects. Anyway this review site will be back up and running in no time. Anyway I thought I would share a funny cell phone story I saw on the web today. It involves a roofer and a cell phone.

I feel bad for the poor guy has he kind of got hit with a double whammie. But never the less, if you picture it in your head it is very funny lol! But I just encourage everyone with a cell phone, especially if you have a pocket pc or smart phone, try to use common sense when out and about.

Cell phone can do more than ever before, and keep us more connected than ever before but that does not mean that we need to be attached at the hip to them. Not to get on my soapbox but some of this texting while driving stuff has got to stop.

Texting while driving, while drunk should be a federal offense, but that is neither here nor there. Enjoy the story, and if you are a roofer, maybe you should leave your phone off of the roof!

New Blackberry on the Horizon?

I am hearing rumblings that Research in Motion is going to be releasing a new Blackberry soon. I have heard various names for the upcoming new Blackberry but I am going to wait until I know for sure exactly what is going to be released. We know that Blackberry has set the world on fire with its uber popular Blackberry Curve, Blackberry Pearl, also the 8820 has gotten rave reviews as well.

I know for a lot of the corporate types the Blackberry brand has long been a favorite, but for me personally it has finally become a relevant phone. With stiff competition from the Apple Iphone, the folks at Research in Motion or RIM for short have been holding them at bay. Though of all the smart phones, I myself prefer the Palm Treo. I really enjoy the touch screen. I also enjoy that it has a full keyboard. I have to admit I have never owned a Blackberry personally but my wife did have a 7520 I think the model number was. She had it for Cingular Wireless, before they became the new AT&T.

The emails do come through very quick, on my Treo I can't set up a Yahoo account. How stupid is that? Who doesn't have a Yahoo email account. But for that minor shortcoming, the Treo is my smart phone of choice. I have seen the Blackberry Pearl in action. Though it strikes me as feminine, it is a phone that gets the job done. It is small and sleek. It fits into your pockets real nice without getting into the way.

Well I have rambled long enough. Like I said, once I have more information I will post here and update you all.

Sprint Pocket PC 6800 | HTC Mogul Review

Today I will be reviewing the Sprint Pocket PC 6800 aka the Mogul.

This pocket pc is the update to 6700. This cell phone features a touch screen, windows mobile 6 software, bluetooth capability, a full qwerty keyboard, wifi for when you find a hotspot or an unsecure modem and a memory card slot. One great upgrade to this cell phone is that it has a 2.0 megapixel camera. This Sprint Pocket Pc is definitely and upgrade from its 6700 predecessor.

Though Sprint was the first to unveil this particular phone it is also available for Alltel, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular. There are also a lot of pocket pc accessories available on Ebay to help protect this phone and you will get a great deal.

Is this the best pocket pc on the market? Honestly I would have to say no. Though it is smaller than the 6700, I am not a fan of the windows mobile software. I always seem to have a problem with the phone freezing up. No matter what phone it is, if it has windows mobile it will freeze.

For multi-media users forget about sending pictures via regular text messaging. Which seems to be fairly standard in most smart phones. You will be able to send them via email, but who wants to go through all that? Not me!

Pros
- Nice ergonomics and form factor
- Portrait to landscape modes worked great
- Keyboard has good tactile feel and is easy to read
- Great screen quality when used indoors
- Buttons positioned in good locations
- WiFi very useful and worked well

Cons
- Poor battery life
- Very hard to read screen in bright sunlight
- Bluetooth really drains battery
- Have to remember to close apps in WM6 to prevent phone from bogging down
- Two handed operation required to navigate
- Call quality decent but not great
- Headphone jack requires splitter plus is 2.5mm size (not std)
- Lost calls due to ringer volume (hard to hear)

This site is committed to discussing the ins and outs of some of the hottest pocket pc cell phones on the market. No matter if you have the HTC MDA, or the Iphone, which I guess would fall into this category we want to cater to you. I will try to include ringtones, wall papers if your phone accepts them and other software to help make your phone function like it should.

So if you would like to learn more or contribute just keep checking in. We will try to include everything from Windows mobile based Sprint pocket pc phones to the Treos, to the Blackberrys. I am a cell phone dealer and have always preferred smart phones, or mini computers or what have you. So I bring to the table a little bit of knowledge and information to the table. I currently have a Treo 700p. Prior to that I had the Motorola Q. I always wanted the MDA, then the HTC wing, however I am not a big fan of T-Mobiles billing method. I prefer that my bill be the same every month if I didn't go over my minutes. But that is another story all together.

This post is starting to run a little long so I will wrap it up but I just want to make sure that I make it clear that I will do my best to provide the most relevant content when it comes to pocket pc cell phones.
